I’ve taken a much needed break from blogging and I’ve really just been enjoying spending time volunteering with the OSC and with my daughter. I’ve felt at times that blogging is no longer what I want to do, but then I miss it after a while. I’ve learned that while I don’t want blogging to be my job (AKA I’m not in it to make money, I’m in it to capture moments/life) I do want to blog about things that are going on in my life. Not only for my sake, but also so my daughter can view it later on and read about things that we’ve done.
With that being said, since it’s been a while I thought I would catch you all up on what we’ve been doing lately!
Rylie’s 3rd birthday was March 18th, so for 2 weeks we were in Florida. We spent March 16-18 at Walt Disney World, and it was such an amazing experience. Rylie absolutely flipped out when she met Anna and Elsa. She was so excited (but a little shy) and I think that was probably the best experience ever for her. I felt like a kid again. Going on rides, meeting characters, and I totally teared up quite a few times. We had her birthday dinner at Be Our Guest and it was so much fun. The grey stuff was seriously delicious!
When we got home from Florida, Rylie had an unfortunate accident on a playground (she fell off the top of a slide ladder at daycare) and fractured her right arm right below her shoulder. They had to create a makeshift sling for her at the hospital on base since they didn’t have a sling small enough for her.
She has the sling on for a few weeks, and then was nicely healed up. She’s had 2 check-ups since, and everything has been doing great. They don’t expect her to have any issues.
In other news…..I’m pregnant again!!! I’m due December 23rd and so far the baby is doing amazing. At my 8 week ultrasound the hb was in the 170’s and everything was looking really good. My morning sickness is, thankfully, not as bad as it was with Rylie so a lot of people are saying it’s a boy this time around. I think it’s another girl, to be honest. Even the ramzi theory says girl, so we’ll see!!
I’m planning on doing updates on my pregnancy, although I’m not sure I’ll do one every week, since I feel like there’s not a huge change from one week to the other. So far my symptoms are: indigestion/acid reflux, light cramping, morning sickness, very very tender breasts, and fatigue. OMG so much fatigue! I am so happy that Rylie’s in daycare 3 days a week, because it’s allowed me to be lazy lately which I’ve needed. Making a baby is so tiring!!!! Plus with my indigestion already, after a meal my stomach HURTS.
Anyways, I’m happy to be back to blogging after a very long time off!! I’ve certainly missed it!
